WindowBlinds Windows Close Box is in the wrong location

Hi - I am running the latest version of WindowBlinds for Win10.

I am using the Precision (Windows 7) theme.

I have been seeing an issue for a while now where the halo effect around a "Close" box on a window will appear in the wrong spot on the screen. In addition, the differential location of the halo increases the farther away the close box is from the upper left corner of the screen.

I have attached screenshots containing 3 Windows screens (from Microsoft Word), with a close box near the upper left corner, then near the middle of the screen, and and then closer to the lower right corner. As you can see in the pictures, the location of the halo in the lower right is much farther away from the real close box than the halo for the upper left close box. Whatever equation is calculating the position of the halo close box has a complex error component - the display error isn't a constant offset.

I have also had an issue (possibly related) where the halo close box image will permanently stay on the screen after the window has been closed. The residual close box halo won't be cleared until the PC is rebooted.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Thanks,

AzJazz1

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

1) Windows 10 version (Use Winver.exe)

2) Windowblinds version.

3) Monitor/s resolutions and any scaling applied to it? Please list them.

4) Problem only on Precision (Windows 7)? Any other Style having the same issue?

Thanks

  1. Windows 10 Enterprise (15063.rs2_release.170317-1834)
  2. WindowBlinds 10.74 (054 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS
  3. Monitor resolutions (issue seen with both): 1920x1080 with 100% scaling, 3840 x 2160 with 150% scaling.
  4. I don't know about any other styles. The next time it starts to happen again, I can try switching - but it could make the issue disappear when I reapply.

Thanks,

I have a similar issue, except it's like all window actions are off. Can't resize windows because the mouse does nothing on the corners, and minimize/max/close buttons are all off slightly. Works fine when reverting back to stock windows theme, but applying any theme, you can see all windows move down and to the left slightly which is probably why they are all off by that amount.
