Well, I made it to 1 year today. Clean and Sober.

Smoke free too. I believe I posted a similar message when I hit 3 months clean and sober, so some of you might remember I've been battling some demons.

Just thought I'd brag, well, because I'm proud of myself. I haven't been sober this long since I was 14 years old and I'm an old fart at 43. But dang it! I still Rock!

Damn! That's good news. You are proud of yourself and you should! Every day is a step. If you can make it one year then there is no reason to believe you cannot make another!

Congratulations.

That's fantastic jarget! I know how hard it is and what an accomplishment it is. I too have gone down the same road for almost 6 years now. Whatever you've done to get to 1 year just keep on doing it!

jarget, what a wonderful post and by doing so you may have given, even one other person, the view of the "light at the end of the tunnel" After all every day is a new day. So very proud of you!!!! Bless you.

Happy first anniversary! I'm going on 5 years 8 months 15 days and still fighting.
The next day is always the hardest one, so keep crunching those demons and live every day to the full. I'll be looking for your second year post.

Congratulations.

jarget.
That is a milestone worth noting.

jarget...That's absolutely wonderful!!!

My Father passed away last August from cirrhosis of the liver. He was only 50 years young. He had been an Alchoholic for just over 30 years. It is not a pretty thing watching someone you love literally deteriorate into skin and bones and then finally death. All because of Alchohol.

Congratulations jarget!!! Stick to your guns and don't turn back. Alcholism is not a path you want to walk.

Take Care
