Catastrophic failure mode
Win10 starts but does not launch Explorer
When I logged in to find nothing but a black screen ... totally blank ... empty ... if I wasn't pretty much a propeller-head geek I'd have been royally screwed, if you'll forgive the vernacular.
^ CTRL-Alt-Del gave me TaskMaster.
^ "Open File Location" gave me access to programs.
^ C:\Windows\explorer.exe was my best bet ... and it worked. A regular M$ blue desktop with all icons. (Were the icons Fenced? I can't be sure that they were not.)
^ Alt-F4 / ReStart; Login
^ Blue Desktop with no icons and no TaskBar
^ Launch Explorer as above. (Again, not sure that the icons were or were not Fenced.)
^ Launched Fences and disabled it.
^ ReStart
^ All good
I went through that drill again with identical results.
Something is seriously pranged / frabbed.
If I can do something to produce indications or anything diagnostic please do let me know. I can step through that drill as required, if it does some good.
BTW I've only had Fences for a couple of days, and have never before bothered with such stuff, but I got to like it very quickly!

p.s. "RollUp" is accessible via menu. No good reason it cannot be triggered by way of some icon upper right.
