Use ShadowFX with WindowBlinds

After enabling WindowBlinds on my PC, ShadowFX is now disabled automatically, it says custom shadows disabled when WindowBlinds is used. I like ShadowFX and want to use it, so how can I use ShadowFX with WindowBlinds or at least turn on or use similar feature in WindowBlinds?

Hello,

From what I know, WB has it own shadow setting which need to be manually adjusted in Skinstudios by supplying Windows frame graphics with shadows in it. There is no overwriting it.

Thanks basj.

As an ordinary user, I don't know how to and I don't want to edit or create skins (I would have done if at least there was any documentation on skinstudio, but fact is when it comes to user documentation/manual, stardock sucks-i mean look at all stardock apps, not a single one has decent user guide). I want to be able to use skins out of the box in WB or there should be a setting in WB to enable this shadow feature. It is ridiculous that stardock is essentially blocking a paid app (ShadowFX) by another of their app (WB). On top of that, I am using a skin preinstalled by WB, so at a minimum those preinstalled skins should automatically have this shadow on window frame graphics for the end user to use. I am not happy about this at all.

Unfortunately ShadowFX only works on the default OS skin as they would not match in with anything else.  This is by design and cannot be changed.  WindowBlinds skins use their own window frames and those can have shadows if the author has defined them.

One would think that all the Strdock software offered under one suite [Object Desktop] would play nicely with one another. I, too, have been frustrated with the lack of Windows Blinds support for ShadowFX. Oh well.

I exclude some windows from WB skinning and those have ShadowFX shadows.
It's not perfect, but it works for me.

End of richfed's quote

It still has programs that are incompatible with Win 10, so this is no surprise; the main reason I bought WB was to customize my desktop... SE completely defeats the purpose of even having WB!

I can't even change my avatar due to this site's bugs!

 Never mind I fixed it!
