Clicking on an Icon inside a Fence on desktop 1 activates the shortcut from desktop 2

Activates wrong shortcut

Hi All,

I have noticed for some time now that just occasionally when double clicking on an Icon on my primary Desktop (Desktop 1) the shortcut for an Icon that resides in the same location on Desktop 2 will be activated, even though Desktop 2 is not visible (of course) ???

It's annoying, especially if the 'other' shortcut is a Steam game.

Has anyone else noticed this sort of behaviour?

Cheers.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. When you said Desktop, do you mean Fences Desktop Pages? If it is, no, I have not see any such issue myself and no report from others. Could you post a video grab of the issue so we can see the problem. And figure out what is going on.

Thank you.

Hi mate, thanks for the quick response.

Yes, I mean Fences Desktop Pages.  I have all of my Games and Sundry icons on a second desktop page.  Just occasionally when I double click on an Icon on my first desktop page, the equivalent icon from the second desktop page gets activated.  When I say equivalent, I mean that if I drag the second desktop page into view, the Icon that occupies the same x,y location  on the desktop is the one that was activated.

Double clicking a second time on the Icon on desktop page 1 will start the correct shortcut.

Getting a screen grab could be tricky as it only happens now and again, but I shall try. Although I don't know how that would help you?

Thanks.

You can try the purge and reinstall steps to see if its help with the problem : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Install that version. Reboot and test it out.

Report back here.

Thank you,
