Thanks; in-between my post and your reply, a reboot and a restart of Desktop Objects went to an install screen, where Groupy was reported as able to be installed. That worked; now I jus t have torecover the key and we're good to go. I used W10's own install/uninstall to remove Groupy, since the service wasn't starting anyway. So far it seems to have healed.

So while anyone is reading this far, here's a quick question:
Does Stardock have a program that will change the default Windows font? There's a notepad/regkey process I've read that I'm not willing to try; there must be a program to just flip the switches for you.
