How long it lasts

If I buy this, do I keep it forever or for a year or another length of time. Please could you let me know.

Forever but if you want to keep receiving updates for new features or bug fixes you will have to pay again for those future updates. That makes it more or less a hidden subscription because Windows 10 is updated twice a year now and like with all software applications, you will have bugs and issues from time with those major updates. You will want those updates or will need them in order to keep them working properly.

But if your question is if the software stops working after a year. I think the answer is no. You just don't get new updates, seems fair.

The subscription allows you to receive free updates to all the software included in Object Desktop. Download the installer package and keep it as a backup. The software is yours forever and as you renew your subscription each year (usually at a discount) you continue to get free updates and as a subscriber you'll have access to beta versions for testing. Also you can install the software on up to five machines so long as they are for your personal use. That about covers it I think.
