Seamless mode does not correctly support multiple keyboard layouts

I use Multiplicity in seamless mode with one master and one slave computer both running the latest Windows 10 Professional. I commonly switch between two keyboard layouts (US english QUERTY and german QUERTZ) on both of the computers.

The slave computer does not have the correct US layout (it seems to be a mix of german and english layout) if the master computer is in german keyboard layout mode and the slave computer is in US layout (the directly attached keyboard to the slave computer shows the correct layout). I have to set *both* computers into US keyboard layout mode in order to achieve a correct keyboard layout on the slave computer.

Especially the characters on the US '/' is wrongly mapped to a '-' character in that case. But the german Umlauts are already remapped.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Yes, the keyboard layouts need to be the exact same for each PC.

So that would be a really nice improvement (lets say it is a feature request).

As a software developer I switch back and forth between german and english keymaps depending on the task (programming or email writing) - so I would really appreciate that feature ...

I have the same problem with my Thai keyboard layout and using two computers.

And I found that using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator work around from this blog post fix the problem.

http://www.sensefulsolutions.com/2010/08/how-to-fix-keyboard-shortcuts-in-klc-eg.html

You have to create a custom layout and use a text editor to change the virtual keyboard code to match both language.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
