Having mouse problems with some Screens in Win 10 1809

When I bring up settings or other Microsoft windows I cannot access the top of the window to close etc.  It is not the case when I use the Microsoft defaul theme.

I have a question...

These issues affect a few people. What is the platform/processor/video hardware of the people affected?

I was affected. In my machine I have all the issues reported here.

My machine is:

- Windows 10 v1809 x64 bit, updated from v1803.

- My drivers is all updated to the last versions.

- Platform/processor/video hardware: AMD A320 chipset; Ryzen 1500X processor; AMD RX570 video hardware with 4GB RAM; 16GB RAM on motherboard.

I will test in my laptop, that is Intel platform/processor/video hardware in this week.

It has nothing to do with the platform. From what I heard it deletes everything from your Libraries folder. The update was supposed to send all your files to One Drive. If that was the case I do not use One Drive, I believe it's deleted from my machine. Maybe that's why I wasn't effected.

Actually I have OneDrive turned off in the registry. It's there but I can't open it.

Since I can't use WB on 1709 I've been sporting the Windows dark theme. I'm really starting to like it.

I have an Intel I7 in an HP 8300 CMT desktop, an Intel I5 in an HP dv7-4283cl laptop, and Windows 10, 7, and XP Oracle Virtual Machines on the Laptop.  If you need specific hardware details, you can look up the HP models I own.

My opinion is that the hardware, the drivers, etc., are not the issue.  I had Windows 10 v1803 in each of these environments.  I converted to v1809 in all environments and the behavior of Windowblinds 10.65 and 10.71 was the same in each environment.  Windowblinds 10.65 was somewhat well behaved in the v1809 Windows environment, with the exception that it wouldn't skin the Edge Browser.  Windowblinds 10.71 had more issues with skinning.  Once I re-installed v1803 back onto my laptop, and installed 10.65 on it, it worked fine for me.

I still have v1809 on the HP 8300 CMT desktop.  Like an idiot, I thought v1809 would be stable.  So I deleted the recovery partitions on the laptop and desktop.  This means I couldn't roll back to v1803. So I've spent that last couple of days putting v1803 back onto the laptop from scratch.  I put Windowsblinds 10.65 on that laptop, and it works fine.   As for the desktop, it still has v1809 on it, I'm waiting for our friends at Microsoft to get their act together and release an updated version of Windows 10 that I can update to from v1809...maybe v1810 or even v1812 (like the overture).   Reinstalling v1803 (with all the software and customization) is a pain in the posterior.

Using WindowBlinds 10.65 (048 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS 1809  and Edge seems OK But Firefox is just about unusable with the top right close--minimise  completely black out and some web sites title bars are unresponsive. Hopefully either microsoft oe stardock will fix it shortly.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. There is known workaround for Firefox with WB.  Try this : Firefox's 3 bar menu -> Customize -> (Bottom left) Tick check box "Title bar".

A WB fix is in the oven (testing it now) - it will be on the table soon.

Thank you for the reports and patience.

Note:  I have applied KB4465477 (the new servicing stack update) and KB4464330.  These updates bump Windows 10 v1809 from v17763.1 to v17763.55.  I have applied these patches and while they may have fixed the file deletion bug, they have had no effect on the Edge browser buttons not being skinned by Windowblinds 10.65 in v1809.

up to Win10 32/64 1803  the system preference apps don´t skin but the button works fine, with 1809 it seem to doesn´t work, but the button fokus is in the background, if you playing a little with mouse sometimes your luckily can hit the buttons.

Well, a new version of WB has just been released, and I see no changes whatsoever - the UWP programs' windows controls are still unresponsive and Windows Explorer status bar is still missing. I have no idea what fixes Stardock's team were programming for the past two months, but it is obviously not the fixes for these annoying problems...

P.S. Yes, I did restart after the new version's installation.

Thank you for taking the time on the video.

First off, You are not at the latest WB version. From your video you are using the 10.65 instead the 10.74. Please get the 10.74. Best thing to do is.

1) Download the latest version from your account again, if you did few days ago. Just download it again just to make sure.

2) Set your current WB to default theme (Windows 10 original).

3) Uninstall WB.

4) Reboot PC.

5) Install new WB.

6) Reboot again. And test. And report back.

Thank you,

I did what you've suggested and now everything works fine, thanks! But you also need to check your new version installation procedure - cause I have just got notification from WB that a new version is available before - and I have clicked OK to install the new version, and it seems like it was not installed properly or something. I think your programmers or support need to check what is wrong :)

That installation procedure work for most user, me included. But for some maybe due to interference from their security software (antivirus, firewall etc etc) making the installation/upgrade process don't work. For those don't work, we suggest a longer steps. But we appreciate your feedback.

Thank you,
