Start10 Can't Search

Start10 used to work perfectly for me. Some time ago, though, the search function stopped working. If I type into the search bar, it switches to the search screen and prompts me with "Searching..." but never proceeds past that point. I tested it with, for instance, "paint", and the search never completes.

 

Windows 10 default search (win+s) works extremely fast and correctly.

 

I do not want to search my entire computer, I only want to search the start menu Programs folder.

 

I have gone through the self-service purge and reinstall, and that has not helped.

Thanks, but I've read those and each one either hasn't worked or doesn't apply to my situation.
