Can't uninstall Fences. And I think my edit of it's registry value is why, and also why explorer.exe keeps crashing

Yes, I know I'm an idiot.

So, I'm a UX Designer learning how to program and I was messing around in the registry with my right click context menu settings. I changed the location and settings for the Configure Fences button. I ended up making a new one and then deleting the old one. But.... now whenever I open a folder in explorer explorer crashes.

Since I hadn't radically changed much else, I figured I'd just uninstall and reinstall Fences. But when I try uninstall it from command line it tells me "invalid start mode archive filename". I can not see it in the Windows Uninstall Programs section of Control panel. If I try to manually delete it with either bash using Windows Linux subsystem layer or CMD.exe it does not work. It will not delete it. Doing it in bash at least gives me a response though saying that I don't have permission to delete it. But that's even when I'm trying to do it with sudo, so IDK what's up with that.

I know I screwed something up in the registry. I don't know what. It could be Fences or it could be something else. But at the very least I'd like to reinstall fences and see if that helps.

What can I do?

Sure thing @AzDude I'll do that right now. In the process of doing research I also had a thought to check out the AppData folder and I found this which might be of help. It's a debug file for Fences. You can see near the bottom of it where my stuff started getting wonky though I don't really know what the rundll etc that it refers to is.

Also I'm running 3.0.8.1 Fences and Windows 10 (whatever latest stable update is)

EDIT: ************************************************************************************************************************

Because I'm a new user I am unfortunately unable to reply to the lastest comments. But I wanted to let ya'll know that I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fences. But.... well... still crashing explorer. I don't know what to do though.

And yeah I know I'm supposed to back up registry first, what can I say, I'm an idiot.

Always remember to backup your registry before you change something.
