"New icon" Position Bug & Some questions

Hello. (Sorry! My English skill is so terrible. It may be difficult to read.)

I investigated this bug, but cannot find the same case so write it here.

If i create a new icon on my desktop, it will be created in a strange space between the 2 displays. (image below)

Desktop

Since "Create new icon from right click" is specifying the position, there is no problem. This bug will happen if I create a new icon without specifying a position, such as "Save with name" from Program. Fences seems to be able to create icons only within the green range of the image. (Of course, there is no problem if I turn off Fences)

These icons are obviously off the grid.

There are some issues that might be related to this bug. Sorting is not working.

 ―Sort by Name→

Yeah, It does not mean that just does not work, it is buggy. I don't even know what is being sorted by.

Why does this happen? And how can I fix this? Even if I reinstalled Fences, the bug was still intact.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Honestly, I am not quite sure what the problem is. Since, from your screenshot, I am not sure where is your fences are. Is all of it set to be transparent? If there is some overlapping between one another or not. And if it outside of fences, please make sure align icons to grid is selected.

With regard with sorting problem. The current version 3.0.9.11 have solve all the sorting problems. If you already with this version and you still facing sorting problem. Please use the purge and reinstall steps mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Try it, reboot, retest and let us know.

Thanks

Thanks for reply.

First, My fence is not in the screenshot. I gave up this bug and have not used Fences for a while.

Yes, "Align icons to grid" is selected. I tried reinstalling with a .bat file, but this bugs did not disappear. (Yes, I restarted)

and I feel that the sort has deteriorated. I made a movie to make it easier to understand. This is the bug I have.

It's a really rude question, but did you truly succeed in reproducing it internally?

If you think that "It's going to happen only in his environment. We will not touch about this", say so. That way, I do not need to see it here everyday.

Yes, Sean Drohan, mentioned it to me that he was able to reproduce it internally. Here what happened on his system.

But you need to be patience since it will take some time. We appreciate your understanding.

Also please note that Stardock is on Summer Vacation and will be back next week, Monday July 9th.
