Uninstall fully from C:\ drive

Deskscapes 8 version 8.0 on windows 10.  I want to uninstall and remove it so i can start over and get the settings correct besides unisntall from windows 10 programs and features where are other files stored for the program like in the app data folder?

the reason i want to uninstall is so i can get 8.5 or a more compatible version for windows 10 pro BTW what is the latest version build number?

also there was an issue with DS an active window would come up all the time displaying the background not sure why it keeps doing this other than i have dual monitor. it would have to be closed all the time.

Go to the top of the home page and click on explore. A list of the programs will come up. Click on Deskscapes and it should take you to the latest version. Note: If you are running an insider preview of Win 10 you may encounter problems. You can also view the changelog.

what is an insider preview, all i want is this dumb Active window to stop coming up.  hopefully 8.5 will fix the issue.

If the Window says ActiveMovie you have some buggy video codecs installed which do not support windowless rendering.  Did you install any codec packs in the past?

Hello,

If your problem is with a codec the

above download should fix it . It works

with Windows 10 and just do the standard

install .

Then test and see if your problem is gone

and report back here.

but why should i have to install a codec and usually codecs are virus laden

Codecs allow asst. Formats to run properly

and the KLite Codec pack is Not virus ladden.

To fix your problem this is where to start.

I just got Win10, first thing I did was install K-lite, then Deskscapes, and every time the dream changes, ActiveMovie Window pops up

Found out my issue (thanks to you) you mentioned latest version... I kept the installer on a USB drive for new installs, and apparently I was using a previous version. Newest one fixed it. Thanks!
