Want a refund
Now that Classic Shell is going away, I looked around for an alternative and found Start10. Sounded interesting. I loaded it and liked it. Decided to buy it.
I will use it on 2 computers at home so I saw 3 options.
1. Free Trial 30 days
2. Start10 $4.99
3. A bunch of other programs $29.99. I chose this one because free updates was listed (but it didn't say just for 1 year)
After I paid 59.98 I got an email that informed me my free updates is only 1 year. I am thinking I don't want that since all I need is the Start10. I emailed them and said I wanted a full refund and they didn't provide it. They sent me a link telling about about the updates instead.
Honestly, I thought it is a little cheeky to put the 1 yr part in fine print.
Then after reading more I saw I can use 1 license on 5 machines at home ( I also didn't find that until after I have purchased) I decided I would go ahead and keep 1 license and just get a refund on 1.
I wrote today and said I would like a refund for 1 license. They didn't respond yet.
Maybe they will later.
As a new person just finding your program I'm not overly impressed with the lack of transparency about updates and the number of machine I can use it on. I've been working with microcomputers over 20 years so I'm not stupid. But I do assume I will be told important information before I pay.
Will someone who works there give me the lowdown about getting a refund back for 1 license also how does it work if I keep one of the licenses. What will happen after 1 year? Will I have to pay more to use the product.
I would appreciate a typed answer and not just links.
Thank you.
