Possible issue/incompatibility with portableapps menu ???

Hi

I have installed stardock fences and I am very happy with it.

However it seems to be an issue or some kind of incompatibility when I try to run the portableapps menu (from https://portableapps.com/)

Fences seems to crash or whatever but it happens that all my desktop icons disappear and Fences as well (but not always)

then I have some kind of hidden blank window like this

It seems to be an issue with the 2 softwares running at the same time because, possibly, both try to manage the desktop icons

Any idea/help welcome !!

Hello,

I think you already answered your question there, it always problematic to have two program running with same or similar function at the same time. Just like running two anti-virus at the same time. I would suggest keep one you need most.

Yup, same problem. I haven't been able to figure out exactly what sequence of actions triggers it and it doesn't happen every time.

The 2 programs are not really doing the same thing... 

Portableapps Menu intent purpose is to present a menu of all available portable applications

It just offers the possibility to hide desktop icons...

Both programs should not interfere
