Fences Crash

My Fences are crashing:

Windows 10 Pro build 16299.98

Observed with Fences 3.05 and 3.08

Attempting to navigate up a folder in a Folder Portal results in an explorer crash and a "bug splat" window appearing.  Fences re-appear after explorer restarts but the folder portal is still stuck in the lower folder.  The crash causes Explorer to throw a 0xC0000005 error.  A similar issue was mentioned here.

Haven't heard back from support yet.  What's the usual wait time before they address this sort of thing?

Self-solved my particular issue:

  1. Ran the "purge" script here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling
  2. Reinstalled Fences 3.08
  3. Restored my snapshot
  4. Deleted the offending Folder Portal
  5. Recreated an identical Folder Portal
  6. Created a new snapshot and deleted the old ones

Everything is working fine now, though it may still bear looking at what was causing the crashes in the first place.
