old customer need help!

I recently updated my pc from windows 7 to 8.1 I use windowblinds it keeps asking me the an update is available but when i update it tells me that my product key is not valid and only works for windowblinds 8 ....is my product key no longer valid ? do i need to buy another key? cause that would suck...im fine with wb8 but it keeps bugging me to update ...

Your product key is valid for the version of wb you bought & any updates within 1 year of that purchase is how it works.I find it better to sub to object desktop every so often,to stay current with the upgrades in windows.

That is not entirely correct. If you purchase a stand-alone application you will receive that version and updates typically until the next major revision.

Object Desktop is a membership where you get updates for a year.
