1.01 - Grouped window loses focus

Starting with the second instance of File Explorer (and randomly after that) the File Explorer is losing focus (is not displayed on top).

Some times it is working OK, all File Explorer go on top after launch.

Some times the File Explorer group remain beneath other windows.

How are you launching the second copy of file explorer?

When it happens what is shown as having focus on the taskbar?

1. I launch all instances of file explorer by a taskbar shortcut.

2. I have to refine my answer.

In fact, the file explorer window is not losing focus, it is active, but is below of a top most window of a program already opened. Weird.

1.01 + File Explorer group 1 + Acrobat group 2

1. open File Explorer and look for a folder with several PDF files.

2. open first PDF file with double click -> Acrobat = active + on top

3. click on File Explorer taskbar item to bring it on top

4. open the second PDF file with double click -> Acrobat = active + behind File Explorer window

I get this issue too.  This is a periodic but consistent issue for me.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I've tried, but fail to reproduce this problem. Tried opening few files with Adobe Acrobat, and everytime last opened file get the focus. Maybe if you can post a video of the problem, we can understand it better. BTW please post information on your system.

1) Windows version? Please use winver.exe.

2) Groupy version?

Note: I was testing on

1) Windows 10 1809 (OS Build 17763.107)

2) Groupy 1.18

Thank you.

I don't use Acrobat.  (I prefer Foxit, which uses tabs but that isn't the issue here).  I use groupy almost exclusively with Windows Explorer (folders).  I generally have a lot of folders open at once, hence the reason for grouping them together.

For me, the issue occurs when switching from one folder to another, particularly after more than one folder to folder click.  It doesn't happen every time but it is pretty consistent with how often it happens.  It may happen more often with the left-most folder, though clicking to other folders will cause it to happen as well.  When, it happens, the Groupy set of folders will be placed behind whatever application last had focus.

I am currently using Windows 10 1.709 and Groupy 1.18
