Double Cursors when Using Cursor FX Plus - Windows 10

I recently purchased two new desktop computers with windows 10. They upgraded themselves to the Windows 10 Anniversary edition. One computer works fine with Cursor FX Plus (V 2.16). The other computer ends up with a double mouse cursor (the windows default, and the Cursor FX cursor behind it). How can I fix this issue?

Have tried this method 4 times, and still does not resolve the issue of double cursors. Any other suggestions?

PS: It does work to start, but when the computer shuts down for the night, or has to be rebooted, the double cursors appear yet again.

I had the same problem, and I found the cause to be fast startup being enabled. If it was previously disabled (like I had it before), the most recent Windows 10 update re-enabled it. The setting is in the control panel under choose what the power buttons do.

Hey Brian, thank you so much!! I followed your instructions and it worked like a charm. I now just have Cursor FX, and not the double one. I appreciate your help. Happy New Year!!
