Bug Report

(Taskbar Functionality)

Hi Devs,

I have to post a bug report (yes, people are still using ObjectDock in 2017), regarding the taskbar function (showing open windows of running applications) in combination with Microsoft Office Excel. Latter is using a stupid mechanic, opening every .xls document in a mini-window within the main program window, instead of creating a new instance of Excel. This leads to the problem, that the different open documents are displayed in the ObjectDock Taskbar, but you can not minimize, maximize or switch between them, when clicking on the appropriate thumbnail.

With regards

Well if you are using it on Win 7 you should not be having a problem. You didn't mentioned what OS you are using. Should do this if asking a question.

If you are using Win 10 it seems to work for some and not so much for others. Note. It has not been updated for win 10 and there are no plans right now to do so.

It is Windows 7. And yes, the problems is there and I should not have a problem is mereley a joke... A rude one.

How about not being compatible to Windows 7 64bit > The shortcut problem. How about the empty process in the taskbar caused by metro apps in Win8 and 10? But hey, since you don't care about this vaporware anymore, why should we... Most unfortunate by the way. This once was the best dock out there.

Sorry to be so frank. But it is obvious, that this app is no longer in development, which is not an evil thing, but what is a major disappoinmtent are answer like those above. We as customers pay for this (I just did half a year ago, not way back then) and then we get this "placebo" support. We can posts tickets, for nothing, but a friendly reply. Why offering it in the first place? Just say, this program is no longer in development.

At least, that would be honest.

Do this, perhaps the install got borked somehow. Uninstall Objectdock, run CCleaner or its equivalent then reinstall the app. Because MS has its own agenda regarding third party apps there might be a conflict involved. Let us know how you make out.

10 months later and you make a reply back.

I didn't say anything to be rude. After myself and many others using Object Dock for years with no problem I again was just making a statement regarding win 7. If anyone is rude it's you. A lot of tough people in this new so called World. Big with their mouth when no one is in front of them.

Thing is you don't know the difference between rude and someone just trying to pass some information along.
