Windowsblind wont startup... when i log off and go in again

Are you running the shareware version or have you paid for a registered enhanced version? What version WB are you running? I think the shareware version doesn't load at startup. To have the registered version load at startup you just leave it on (a WB skin is displayed rather than the regular MS gui) and don't unload it.

If you're having problems with a registered version, you may want to contact Stardock support. I don't seem to be able to find a specfic checkbox for load on start up in the enhanced WB4 but it's not needed really as I noted above. But if it's the shareware version you're running, that's why it doesn't load at startup.

thanks alot..so.... if i want to have the windowsblind to load on startup i must register for the enhance version ? and pay how much? cos i didnt register anything? is there any other way cos... i am confuse....
and also can anybody tell me why my logon cant load? is kinda weird? i download the logon but cant load... i dnt know why...

1. To use the logons you need the logon program LogonXP available free here: https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/

2. WindowBlinds is available for purchase here: http://www.windowblinds.net/ It's $19.95. The shareware version is "crippleware:" it doesn't have all the skinning features of the enhanced paid version and won't load on startup. WB 4 is available only for XP right now. For W2K, W98 and ME WB 4 will be released probably in a few months, maybe sometime this summer. If you're not running XP, WB 3.5 is still available for purchase. (Though, if you're not running XP you couldn't use LogonXP either.)

I'm guessing you're on XP? If so, then you'll find the apps available here pretty cool as XP allows for greater GUI stuff than the older MS OS'. If you want to check it out, there's also a freeware version of CursorXP here: https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorxp/ The freeware version has a lot of functionality and there are some cool cursors in the cursor section here at WC that you can download and use with CursorXP.

i used WIndows XP... video card: GeForce2 ... the thing is that the problem is that i cant load the logon.... longonxp workswell i can use it but cant load the logons that i downloaded... i dunno why? when i load nothing happen just the CurretnLogon: ex. Spiral... like that i duuno why.. the thing is i cant load it.... how..?
and about the Windows Blind so if i dont buy the windowsblind for 20 bucks it will not load in the startup?

I haven't downloaded logons in a while, but they go in the logonstudio directory which you probably already have done. (If it happens with all logons you download you might check to see it the logon file is associated to be opened with the logonXP program. It's a windows thing.) But also, sometimes I've found that some logons are really zips within a zip although the extension doesn't say zip which is why the logon program doesn't make sense of them. What you could try for the logons you download from here that don't work, change the extension to .zip, then unzip the file and install it in the C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio directory and then see if it shows up in logon studio. That's worked for me when I've had problems, but don't know if that's the problem you're having.

Yeah only the paid WindowBlinds can be set to load at startup. The free shareware version won't. That's not too bad IMO. But the shareware version won't skin some things and that would bug me more than the loading issue. So if you've got $20 to spare, it'd be worth it IMO if you like the skins available. But play with the shareware version first and see what you think.

have you tried reinstalling? Where did you download from? (maybe you have an old version).

Sorry, I'm stumped. I last used the shareware version of WB 3 on W98. On XP I know the paid version you can just keep it on the WB skin in "Appearance" in Desktop properties and it will load on start up. But it sounds that it's not doing that for you in the shareware version. I could have sworn someone else also said the shareware version won't load on start up, but I believe Karma Girl is a Stardock employee, so she's got an inside track on the products. Perhaps she or someone else can help out on this.
