Microsoft Office "Save As" Hangs Application after Fences Install

I no longer can Save-As my pptx, docx, etc. files to any folders. Applications hang with a message in file selection box saying "working on it" when a folder is selected.
Uninstalled Fences, problem persists. Reinstalled Office, problem persists. Help! My work depends on my use of Office.
