"Open Folder" in Folder Portals opens a file instead of the folder if both have the same name

I have a folder portal named "These" and inside it is a file named "These.doc" ; when I click on "open folder" or double-click the window, it opens the Word file instead of the folder.

The problem is still here in the latest beta.

Can you contact support?  I'm not seeing what you are seeing and would like more data.

If you can provide a video that would be great!

Did you actually try to name a folder exactly the same as one of the files it contains (without the three letter extension of course) ? Then click on "open folder" and you'll see, Fences opens the file, not the folder ! I am almost sure that this bug was not present in Fences 2...

Using 3.0.4.12

  1. Create new folder on desktop
  2. Name it test
  3. Right click on folder
  4. Select "Show this folder on the desktop"
  5. Observe a portal fence created called test
  6. Right click on test fence
  7. Select New -> Text Document
  8. Observe a new file is created in the portal
  9. Name it test
  10. Observe file is named test.txt
  11. Left click on Fence titlebar
  12. Select Open Folder
  13. Observe there is a prompt telling you how to do this better/faster
  14. Observe Explorer open to appropriate directory

That is what I am doing/seeing.
