Created new folder on desktop, pulled various unrelated icons out of their fences, renamed them all to the folder name

Here we are, in 2017, and this ages old bug is still in place.

When you create a new folder or text file on the desktop, ALL of the previously used icons (in the current session) are moved out of their fences, and renamed to the same folder/file name.

This brings another question to my mind: Is Fences even being supported these days?

Such a good piece of software definitely don't deserve this kind of abandonment.

Fences hasn't been abandoned.  There is a beta out even...

Yes, I was being somewhat sarcastic.

Got surprised by an update a few minutes ago. However, guess what... The bug is still there.

This and the one where the first time the desktop loads, you got no icons and have to right click for them all to appear.

Yes, submitted a ticket on Dec 2016. Not a single contact about the issue since then.

Just verified, and there was a reply asking for a video of the issue. However, I received no e-mail alert about it, as I don't receive any from the forum either. 

Anyway, submitted another one, and will look at it daily.

I've also experienced random similar issues like this, but they are so rare I'd forgotten all about them. Would be nice to have it fixed though and I'll send a ticket if it happens again.

Unfortunately, in my case the problem occurs all the time :/

I'm in touch with the support team, trying to diagnose/solve the issue. Until now, no luck.

Yes it seem to do that for me too, it more a case of me rarely creating files directly at the desktop. Looking forward to a fix as well. :)
