WB 10.57 Crash

Gave the latest beta a new chance and installed it.

Still same problems as i have mentioned Before. Slower resizing of Explorer windows, etc.

Now Explorer crash sometimes. Tried different themes. I have uninstalled, rebooted, installed as usual.

This WB versions is slower on my PC. Sluggish when it resize windows.

Also had to exclude Pale Moon x64 and Firefox 32-bit browsers, otherwise Pale moon's Adobe Flash Plugin crashes.

Firefox also crashes when i click menu>help>about>check for update. (aoutomatic update)

So excluding them both in WB they work fine now.

As Before WB v10.07 is the latest version that works fine for me.

It would be most unexpected for the new version to be slower on resizing especially in explorer windows as we have done extensive performance work on WB 10.56 and above which resulted in significant performance improvements on window resizing, repainting etc.  Are you sure you are using the same skin and not one that has blur (which will naturally be slower)  Please also note that WB 10.5 and above skin the ribbon bar which the older WB version is not doing so it will be slightly slower from that, but barely noticeable.

Regarding your crash in explorer, that points to a section of WB that's not changed in the better part of a decade and from the looks of it such a problem is likely to be being caused by a conflict between another component in explorer and WB.

I also tried to reproduce your crash in Firefox and as with your Pale Moon issues, nothing crashed.

It would be best if you contacted formal Stardock support and create a ticket so they can collect additional information on what is running on the machine.

It is somewhat apparent that the issues you are experiencing do not match up with the experience of every other person and we have been unable to reproduce a single issue you have reported which points to something else being involved in combination with WB.

One thing I should mention is that the version of WB you are rolling back to (10.07) will not work correctly on the next Windows 10 release starting to roll out from April onwards.  It would be preferable if you could work with support so we can avoid you being stuck without a version of WB you can run.

Yes, it's something fishy on my system i can't figure out.

I have Icaros installed, a Explorer extension for thumbnails. Uninstalled it but made no difference.

 

So i'm kinda stuck on what it could be.

 

Regarding Pale moon i found out all themes i was using made the crash. So either have no theme at all in pale moon, or exclude pale moon in WB it works

with no crash. (better faster too) Tried different themes in pale moon but none is working  together in WB. So i excluded pale moon in WB and it works fine.

Regarding the other stuff, slow resizing and crashes of Explorer i don't know what it could be. Tried Everything i could Think of.

 

Thanks for the info about 10.07 as well. Yes, i guess i have to create a ticket and get some more deeper help to analyze this problem

so i know what it is causing it, so i can fix it.
