Startmenue width relations

Hi,
I'm a german user of WinBlinds and I've got some trouble when using WB:
The Startmenue 'Programs' and 'Places' areas have (when not using WB) apparently the same width (given a pixel or two).
When I turn on WB the 'Programs' half of the Startmenue suddenly has about 4/7th of the complete width and the 'Places' is only 3/7th wide.
This makes some finely designed skins look realy ugly (especially those that have desings leading into the 'User Icon' or the 'More Programs' area).
Has anyone any Idea how to address this problem (except for obtaining a US version of WinXP perhaps
)?
I molested the Support already but as of yet (about 3 weeks > ) I got no reply..
