Not Working After Windows Explorer Restart

Whenever explorer.exe auto-restart because of a crash or user interference, Fences won't load along with it. The context menu is also gone and if Fences.exe is opened via its folder, there's a message "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences." The option "Enable Fences" in the Home tab is checked and I've already uninstall and reinstall to no avail.

I've managed to do workarounds of disabling the "Enable Fences" then restarting the explorer.exe and the context menu "Enable Fences" would appear and it would work properly or doing a sign-out/sign-in.

This is excellent at it's objective of organizing all the stuffs in your desktop and I'm thankful to the devs of Stardock. Hopefully you guys manage to fix this if its a bug or something.

Same here on Win 10 64 bit.  I just reboot and it comes right back.

This worked for me on Windows 10 64bit

  1. Open Task Manager
  2. Processes tab
  3. Right-click on Windows Explorer
  4. Select Restart.

My problem was even worse, after updating to version 3 from version 2 my computer sometimes would not boot up properly and after logging in would get stuck just before fences started to load.  The problem was so bad that sometimes I have to hit the on / off switch, restart in safe mode and disable all startup utilities.  Two weeks ago, doing this cost my boot-up partition to get destroyed, thank goodness that I do disk image backups on a regular basis.  Needless to say I uninstalled version 3 after the last problem last week were Windows Explorer crashed and it took fences with it.  I have had no further issues after I uninstalled version 3, I hope you guys fix this because I really like the rollup feature in this version. Using Win7, had version 2 running for years with no problems.
