Match making player base

they are separate

this is something that I would like to be fixed in the future. Dividing an already small player base is not that good. Maybe Gog version should have let's say half the price but be marketed only for single player purposes.

Yes I wish that too. Really dont like steam so if its off steam I'll get it off steam.

Its interesting though matches always start around the 4 minute mark. Custom game lobby never has an open game.

AND Im always fighting rank 8 people and games are very tough and close almost all the time ="=.

If I check their profile I see they have played alot of games - more than I have but their win ratios are all 0% which kinda suggest the game is rigged?

Im really beginning to suspect they are AI pretending to be players or something. They dont get the win so they remain rank 8 always. I have infact lost 3 games against those 0 wins people.

However I must add that I actually quite enjoy this game. Just wish more people would play it.

If you are in the queue for a while 3+ minutes, and you aren't in the top 50 players (legendary), then you get to play the AI.

If a player if available, the computer will generally match with them instead, regardless of rank.

Even if you play a "1" rank, it is a good way to learn.

Most players will give you advice, if you ask.

If you aren't sure, a good way to check is to try interacting with them during the game.

Send glhf and see if they reply.

YOu'll soon learn the AI names. Some are obvious.

I was at home all day the other day working so I loaded up ashes in the back ground and sat it in the ranked que, average wait time for me was 30 mins.  Occasionally it would pop but typically it was the same player.  It's currently an unreasonable time to expect players to wait in my opinion. 

Its now just standard practice for me to leave it on and minimise it.  I turn the speakers up so if it does pop I can come running back through haha 

not great really.   To be fair it was a pretty rubbish time of day, Most play after work in the evenings. 

Ah so I have been playing against nothing but AI haha. Kind of guessed but still a little disappointing. I think I did come up against human players  twice or something in the first few days since they werent rank 8. And I thought I was good. Haha.

There just arent any GOG players I guess. But Im rather impressed with the AI. I've been playing alot of games and Im rank 1 AI conqueror now. Maybe after I max out the stars I will have to wait hours or something for a real player. Probably will just get stomped, scary.

I did the same, only got legendary because of ai I'm pretty rubbish against any one thats ranked top 20.  It will be interesting to see what you think when you get legendary for me it changed massively my wait times went through the roof !!

Well I can tell now that I stopped been able to play a ranked game. 2 waits. 1 over 2 hours, another one over 1 and 15 minutes hours. Neither resulted in a game. lol. GG

Well, isnt there a way to actually unite GoG and steam players?

Steam and GOG would have to come to an agreement as it is done on their servers. It has happened with some games across the networks though so perhaps it will happen one day.

Ah, my bad, i though that we actually play on stardocks servers. But if it is steam, then i dont think it will happen any time soon.

Well, Steam and GOG certainly have their own separate networks, so I assume the servers belong to those respective networks. The devs did say something along these lines was the problem anyway. May be overcome someday but yeah, could a be a long time if it ever does.
