Settings in "configure fences" not persistent

Settings in the "layout and snapping" part of "configure fences" seems to change randomly.

I have several times selected the "store my fences position on a per-screen-resolution basis". When I check after a reboot or with a new external monitor/projector, the setting is changed and fences are rescaled and messed up.

Do you have anything that resets registry changes?

I don't think so, what type of program or process could that be?

Anything specific I could look for?

If you don't know it's unlikely to be an issue.  It would be some sort of cleaner

I had to quit using Fences 3 because the icons never STAYED in the fences, with two monitors if I turned one off to shut down all the fences and icons would move to the other monitor, or Icons would be at the top of the screen instead of in the fences!  Or the sizes would change.  It was too chaotic and unstable.  Not sure now what version I had because I have been having trouble with the 1607 upgrade to Win 10 Pro and it;s been a nightmare.

End of blarney77's quote

If you didn't set the layout auto adjustments then you might have issue.  I'd try re-installing and trying the 2nd and 3rd options .

Mine does this as well but like this. I'll create a shortcut on the desktop and name it <job#1>. As soon as I click enter, 4-7 icons or folders located in the fences jump out to the desktop and all become renamed to <job#1>. i then have to click each icon/folder to see whats in it and rename it accordingly and drag them back into the fences. It's a pain. I bought fences to gain productivity and efficiency not to add to my time spent messing with folders and files.
