Font Problem

Hi Guys, I purchased and installed vStyler's VOX(10) which I really like. The problem is that, because of the dark Window Background, fonts are BLACK and DARK GREY. I cannot SEE text eg E-Mail text and Notepad.

I already changed the text colors og checkboxes, listboxes, textboxes and dropdown lists etc through the Skin Studio, bur...how can I change the Theme's window fonts ...text that People write on forms, e-mails, Word doc etc. (NOT button, headers, Titles etc)?

Thanks Guys

Hans

That would be the Window Text color located in the Change Skin Colours, and then use the drop down to Show me the skin defined systems colours area.  :)

Thank you LightStar...that DID work except for ONE app...Outlook...the emails I receive are still "invisible" (same color as the window background).

I thought I might define Outlook's text default colors from within Outlook...but I cannot find the setting. I only see font color settings for emails I create and send...NOT those I receive :-(

But thanks, it did help for the other apps.

Regards

Hans

I don't know exactly what Outlook is doing, but sometimes applications do abuse System Colors.  I've had luck with going into the System Colors as LightStar described, looking for colors that match the color I'm wanting to change, and changing them to see if I find it.  Personally I have to make a note of what the color was before I change it so I can change it back if I need to.  Once I find it I make a note of what the app uses, because it tends to come up repeatedly.

Button face and button text are always worth a look, and thinking about Outlook incoming mail I'd also look at Disabled Text.  Anyway, look for the color.

And sometimes they are just plain locked.

Thank you DaveRI, this is exactly the method I was following. By process of elimination.  As suggested by you gentlemen, I am sure the solution will present itself.

Please....if I may, just TWO more questions...

1) how do I restore the ORIGINAL Windows 10 UI (Un-skin Windows 10), without uninstalling WindowBlinds?

2) Before I changed the theme I renamed it to my NAME in order NOT to change the original. Where does WindowBlinds save it's themes. I want to copy MY changed version to my work PC.

Thank you guys,

Hans :-)

If you want to unload WB temporarily and have the skin reload at the next login/boot, rightclick on the WB icon in the systray and select "Unload Windowblinds".  If you want to stop WB from loading at the next login/boot, go into WBConfig (where you select a skin) and select "Default theme" - the first skin in the list.

If you're running Start10 and you also want the Win10 start menu, you will need to go into Start10 and select the Win10 Start Menu.  To completely unload Start10 and/or stop it from loading at login/boot, run Start10tweak.exe located in Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10 (I find a shortcut to that file to be useful).  Start10tweak will open a little UI that will allow you to enable the service, disable the service, or unload it.

WB themes are in Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Document\Stardock\Windowblinds (aka Users\Public\Public Documents\Stardock\Windowblinds), each theme within its own folder.

When you copy the folder over to your work pc, you probably won't see it listed initially in WB.  You'll need to click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the window and select "Rebuild list" from the dropdown menu that appears.
