Unable to purchase 3.0 upgrade

I own Fences 2.0 and am trying to upgrade to Fences 3.0.  However, during the checkout process, after I attempt to complete the purchase in PayPal, I get the following error:

You did not meet the following criteria to purchase and have not been charged;

  • You must have purchased the pre-requisite product before attempting to purchase Fences® 3 Upgrade. Please check the product page here for more information.

The link provided doesn't work and goes to a 404 error (note that I removed the link in this post for security reasons).

It doesn't matter if I click the link in the email offer, or if I go through the website from scratch.

Why is Stardock telling me I can upgrade to Fences 3.0 for half price, but not actually letting me complete the checkout process?

Go to the link below and at the bottom click on - Own Fences 2/ Click here and put in information. 

 

You can only purchase fences 3 upgrade if it has been only a certain time period after your purchase of fences 2. If it has been to long you will have to purchase the full version of fences 3. It will tell you if you should be able to upgrade.

NOTE: If it states you should be able to upgrade at the lower price and you can't write support. Only submit one ticket and no one is there over the weekend so please be patient and wait for the answer.
