The best way is to see what mother board you have is to look at the BIOS ID string when you turn on your computer...Award is the most common bios used so go to this link http://www.phoenix.com/en/customer+services/bios/awardbios/motherboard.htm and match up your BIOS to one listed and it will give you the maker of it.

windows has a utility that is called "system information" it is located accessories/System Tools folder....
