Sounds can be changed in "control panel" -> "sounds and audio devices" -> "sounds". You can choose from a list of incuded sounds for each Windows event or import your own sounds.

If there is a website that has a collection of sounds to download for Windows, I don't know of any. It would be nice if Wincustomize could include sounds to complement skins and themes.

There used to be a great program I had for that... can't remember the name anymore.
But the point is it doesn't work on the later versions of windows and Stardock has no such program at this time.

For changing sounds I use Desktop Architect - that's all I use it for. Grab some themes, there are thousands out there, and away you go.

It's not supposed to work with XP but I've not had a single problem with it. A few places I've just been to list it as unavailable, but I found this one: http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/deskdb.cgi?download=1&ID=173
