Useless

Sorry if I hit the wrong key.

Fences is a piece of cr*p. It cleared my desktop (and yes I know how it is supposed to be restored. Butnothing!) I can go to the snapshots but they refuse to restore. Keep well away from this junk.

Icons will disappear when you double-click your desktop. Try double-clicking again.

Otherwise, make sure you don't have Fences pages enabled and swiped to another page.

You found the auto-hide function.

If Fences were 'crap' it wouldn't be popularly enjoyed on millions of computers world wide....;)

Fences in use here at all times, on multiple rigs. Love it, works just fine for me.

Fences is GREAT software. I have been using it since the beta version was released years ago. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/screenshots/23667/

I recommend it to everyone with whom I discuss computers and or software. Everyone that I know that installs and uses Fences loves it.

Another happy Fences user here, never had an issue with it, also love the roll up feature.

I'm not the kind of guy who has allot of icons on my desktop but after installing fences I became "that guy". Its so freakin easy. On my laptop surface 3 is even better because the screen is so small. Pages, fences with live views of folders, double click hide/reveal, its a great organization tool.

Although I miss object bar greatly, this is a nice substitute (that you can't "skin").

oh object bar... how I wish you were still being updated and available! and Desktop X too... would love Treetog's Plava to be on my laptop lol

Fences is one of the best desktop programs you can have. Does exactly what I need it to :)

Fences is great software when it's not repeatedly and constantly crashing Explorer.

I'd suggest starting a support ticket so we can help.

I loved Fences on Window 7 but now that I upgraded to W10 it takes 16 seconds for the icons to appear when I double-click the desktop.  Launching a program is delayed by 18 seconds.  I've pretty much stopped using it.

I'm running version 2.91.

That's not normal at all.  I have Fences on all my systems and there is no delay on any of them.

When I first moved to W10 it was non-functional.  I had to uninstall and resinatall as administrator to even get it to display the icons and let me interact it with.  Before that it was as if I was clicking on a desktop image rather than active Fences.

In general, everything is slower for me under W10.  I used to idle at less that 10% CPU, now it's upwards of 40%.

You're right, a bit strong. I know all about the double click, they just won't come back without a reboot. All the issues seem to be V3 on W10, my three V2 licenses are behaving OK. It's just very annoying when you have to keep rebooting. Anyway, this problem went away, perhaps because fences now keeps turning off completely but at least I can keep working.
