deskscapes 8.5 will not work

need some help downloaded deskscapes 8.5 since everyone said it was working fine for them when i try to apply a dream all get is a black or blue screen/background  here is what the application says 


DeskScapes appears to be activated on this PC
DeskScapes engine appears to be running
(Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Okay problem seemed to have fixed itself after a restart ?? got me lol

Can you download and run the tool below:

http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe
