Bug: Window error

Windows 10 Pro x64

WindowFX Version 6

The issue that I have is that after some time 30 min - 1 hour, the wobbly windows effect breaks while left clicking on any window to move it, the window disappears and appears again when you let go (to the right position). Apart from that when this occurs, the Windows 10 experience becomes very sluggish and laggy. Both issues go instantly away when disabling WindowsFX.

Did you have the WindowFX 6 beta installed before the release version?

I'm having the same problem, Windows 10 Pro x64, Windows FX 6.01

When I move a window it disappears until I let go of it.

Is it a registry error or something to do with the graphics system?

Same here.

After some time some effects just stop working.

Doesn't seem to be triggered by a specific action.

One effect is wobbly windows.

Not sure about other effects.

I'll have to wait until it happens again.

I have these problems intermittently. Turning off WinFX then back on, fixes it, for a while.

Yes, turning it off and on does fix it for a while, but I don't want to keep having to do that.

I used to get the exact same problems with Windows 8 and 8.1, so I stopped using Windows FX, I was hoping that someone in Stardock would have fixed it in 2 years or at least tell us why it is happening.

Lol on that one.

Same problem here.  My CPU fan pegs and the PC becomes very sluggish after several hours.  To the point it almost locks up.  Turning off FX fixes.  We need a fix.  Something is hanging the CPU cycles.

I too am having the same issue as above.  turning off windows fx and turning back on resolves for awhile as stated above.  Noticed specifically after windows 10 update to version 1511 (build 10596.29)

fresh install windows fx v6.01 beta  also seeing this on a mobile workstation same build using windows fx v6.0

this was a new windows 10 pro install originally then applied all the latest updates.

this is a highly powered workstation, 2.4ghz (8 cores), 24gb ram, nvidia k4200 (4gb) video card

I've had this problem since the original 6 beta, 6 release and 6.01 beta.

Did a support request at 6 release, got a very bad answer so gave up on that.  Also did a clean install and like everyone else, this made no difference.

I get maybe 1-2 hours of working WindowFX before I notice it's broken.  Using a Radeon HD 5700.

Still having this issue.  Received a .bat file to totally remove windows fx and then rebooted my machine.  then instructed to reinstall.  Still experiencing this same problem.  runs for a while and then quits working properly and when grabbing a window and moving it the windows all but disappears and then reappears after letting go the mouse button after the move.  turning off and then back on windows fx restores functionality.  Doing this several times each day.  No updates from support as of yet.  Frustrating...

Can you download and run the tool below:

http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe

Then attach the .zip that's created and send it in with a ticket to support. With your ticket, if you could also link to this forum post, it would be most helpful:
