Fences Certificate Problems

https://forums.stardock.com/417809

Hello,

I have previously had problems with Fences and certificates, I have added that thread in these forums as a link in this post.

My workplace has pushed some new security settings and fences won't run.  When I go to fences.exe -> properties -> Digital Signatures, I can select the "Stardock Corporation" signature and press the "Details" button.

Windows shows an error icon and says "The revocation process could not continue - the certificate(s) could not be checked."

When I go to the View Certificate button, I get an error "Windows cannot determine the validity of this certificate because it cannot locate a valid certificate revocation list from the certification authority that issued this certificate."

I can see at the bottom that it is Issued by: "COMODO Code Signing CA 2" and valid from 10/3/2011 to 10/3/2014.

So it appears that something has expired.  I have already tried downloading "AddTrustExternalCARoot" from COMODO's site and installing it but that hasn't worked.

Before I go on, is there any advice that stardock can offer?  Is there a newer exe?  (I'm running 2.13).

Thanks!

Not sure anyone here can help except for support. I would suggest you include what you wrote about and send in a ticket to support.

I believe this is the address you would use. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit

Only send one ticket as sending more each one will only move you to the bottom of the list. You may keep checking this post as maybe tomorrow a support person my also see this and reply.

My previous post (attached link) got attention so I figured this might work.
