The process is at an end. A Video tour

Well here it is. Still a few small things left to complete, But let me introduce you to our new house. Handover is tomorrow and we get the keys. The gravel for the yard is being done this weekend and then the last little bit of fencing will be finished. Hopefully moving in will start by the end of next week. It's been a long process but i have to say the end result is wonderful. Take a look at the video and tell me what you think :)

Unfortunately I can not see the video.  I've unblocked all my blockers but still no go... and I've been following the process with such interest, too.  Maybe you could post a link to the page on the hosting site... like I can view videos on Youtube okay.

Anyway, I bet you're glad the waiting will soon be over and that moving in will soon commence.  It looks like a dream home, given all the photos you posted, and all the best to you and your family with settling in.  Unpacking and getting everything in its rightful place can be so tedious and time consuming.  I've done it more times than I care to remember, and I don't know how many times I changed my mind about where this and that would go.

Thing is, you've got a great house with oodles of storage space, so it's not like you'll be limited for choices/ideas.

Wow, it looks even greaterer now everything's done inside.  All it needs now is for your furniture and personal touches to make it into a home.  Yup, I'm impressed... not to mention a little greener after viewing the video.   Nah, I'm a little greener cos I have the flu and haven't been feeling so well.  Fortunately, the worst of it is over and I'm on the mend.

:)

As for not being able to view the video here, I've been having that trouble for a while now.  I use AdBlock Plus and things to block trackers, etc, but I was always able to view linked videos here until a few months back.  I have no idea what changed then, and I disabled everything to see if YouTube videos were viewable again, but alas, no.  I even went to the trouble of uninstalling all the blockers, but even that was to no avail.  Even uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it didn't help.

Oh well, I've seen it now and I'm pleased for you and your family.

Yeah, I do recall that being the case.  However, I stole the line from a movie.  Not sure of the name just now, but I have an idea it was either Patrick Swayze's Roadhouse or a Kevin Costner classic, The Bodyguard.

I also have a slant... to the right.  My right leg is an inch and a half shorter than the left, meaning I walk a bit lopsided and with a pronounced limp.... and doesn't half play havoc with my lower and middle back.

I almost ended up with a prosthesis, though.  I smashed the hip and upper femur quite badly and the first surgeon said the leg couldn't be saved, so I asked for a second opinion. I got the answer I wanted but the surgeon said it was unlikely I walk again... not just because the hip and top of the femur was largely disintegrated, but because I also had spinal injuries [broke my back in 6 places] and had little to no movement below the waist.  I told him: "You Fix it and I'll walk!"

My insistence and determination paid off.  Several surgeries later a 136 fractures and almost 3 years as an in-patient, almost 18 months as an outpatient, I walked into his rooms for an appointment, unaided and carrying my crutches.  Let's just say he was gobsmacked. with his jaw dropping so much I thought it was gonna hit his kneecaps, such was his surprise.

I must admit, though, the pain can get pretty intense sometimes, with arthritis in both hips, knees and ankles, lower and middle back, both shoulders and elbows from all the years of weight bearing and lifting myself in and out, on and off of things.  Thing is, while it all hurts like buggery some days, I remain grateful to the surgeon, whose fantastic work helped put me back together again.  Sometimes the pain reminds me of the parable "I once complained that I had no shoes.  Then I saw a man who had no feet.".  Yup, I'm heaps better off than some/many

Anyhow, enough of all that... going over it also reminds me that I got a bit 'naughty' with a few nurses and got into trouble with hospital administration.  Yeah, the bastards confiscated my wheelchair before giving me a dishonourable discharge for getting caught once too often in the nurses quarters.

Chateau Nimbin.

Well done! Beautiful new home. My wishes for many, many happy and healthy hours in and around it!

You'll have to work on your accent a bit, though: It was still barely possible to understand you. ;)
