AutoArrange = Off: One more for the wishlist....

I didn't buy Fences for all the bells and whistles - just the facility for taking snapshots and Saving/Restoring them.

It does that quite nicely - and that justifies my ten bucks.

But I think you guys should take the AutoArrange thing more seriously.   This is a significant lapse vis-a-vis Windows Desktop behavior.

I understand the thing about resizing Fences and wanting to re-flow the icons.... but it's also obvious that with AutoArrange=Off Fences could be re-sized and clip the icons instead of re-arranging them - putting it on the user who wants no AutoArranging to move them around to fit the Fence's new size/shape.

Like I said, I got it for the Save/Restore.... and Frames are nice, but I can live without them.....But the hard-wiredAutoArrange thing is still quite irritating if only because it's such an obvious defect....

This defeats the purpose of Fences in general. We have received this as a feature request however. Thank you for the feedback.

Maybe I am the only one, but my purpose for fences is to have more control over my desktop.

Forcing AutoArrange undermines that purpose.

I would agree that each frame should be customizable.

Fix this and I'll buy it.

I would say "Buy it anyhow"...

I'm griping about AutoArrange, but in the context of the conveniences brought to the table by Fences it's small change.

You can customize each fence individually.... I'm not doing it, but the facility is there.

I just started witn the beta 3 (2.90) on my 40" win10 system.  It works well.

I would like to be able to turn off autoarrange for both the contents in the fences AND the ones left on the desktop.  Right now it all works just like IOS on an iPhone.

I do not like gridding icons nor the fact the ones left on desktop can only end up on the right of the screen, gridded.

I would also like a feature to allow the icon SIZES be changed per fence

Finally, how about a shortcut way to allow movibg a fence around the screen?  I turn off titles and set the fence color almost the same as my desktop color, so to move a fence around, I need to bring up a config for fence, change the title on setting, move the fence, change the setting back.  How about something like ALT/SHIFT, and the fence you are hovering over will 'light up' to allow moving, while the keys are depressed?

I think i found a bug with the gridding.

If you have a fence in the upper right of your screen, and a new icon appears on the desktop something saved to desktop/new program installation, etc, it ends up BEHIND the fence, so you need to move the fence to move it.

No I know you allow rules to auto move things, but it doesn't fix the issue if you want fenses AND items really on desktop.

Do you have auto-arrange on for your desktop?
