Fences Alert: Folder portals feature unavailable in classic mode

Whenever I start up my Windows 7 PC, a fences alert pops up on the screen. It reads: Fences' Folder Portals feature is unavailable in classic mode. Please enable Aero to use this feature.

After I did a little digging into the issue I discovered that it was refering to windows personalization settings being set to Classic or Aero desktops and window settings. However, Aero is already enabled and in use on my PC. How do I resolve this issue, the pop up is annoying. The Portals on my desktop does seem to be working correctly it just seems that fences doesnt realize that the Aero mode is already in use.

Id appreciate any help with removing this alert, as it is a bit annoying.

Thanks

Josh

You can run the Aero troubleshooter on Win7 to diagnose any Aero issues.

Then click Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects. Which then opens this window:

I have the same problem. It only started today after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. It makes no sense to say it is an Aero problem. Both Fences and Aero are working fine. The only problem is the bogus error message. People using fences have had this problem for 4 years now, according to posts on this forum: See forums.stardock.com/434732/page/1/  and stardock.com/436519/page/1/

No, 4 years ago people had this problem.  It is of no use or relevance to cite old reports.  They refer to old program versions since revised.

To assist Support it is of more value to list program version and other specific details of relevance....;)

EG, was Fences uninstalled/reinstalled for the 'upgrade' process?
