So I had fences installed just for the trial version and when I uninstalled afterwards all of my desktop icons are on top of each other and I cant move them because the little circle with a line through appears... Any help would be appreciated!

Did you restore your default snapshot before uninstalling?
This would have avoided the problem.
In Fences configuration, under "Layout and Snapping" , Fences makes daily snapshots, and it also saves the original made when you first installed Fences. One should restore a snapshot, and then disable Fences, before uninstalling.
I understand that hindsight is useless.
Have you tried R-clicking the desktop select View and then selecting auto arrange Icons to see if that unstacks them? Try it and then if it works and you can move them around, you can uncheck it.
