looking for feedback on the AI. Should be substantially better compared to 1.2 or 1.3 opt in 1.

While 1.4 is going to mostly be about AI, we found a lot of low hanging fruit largely thanks to the saved games you guys have sent in and your posts. Thank you!

I was pleased to see today that you have re-implemented a GC2 tactic. I was going through the motions of mopping up the remaining races and have gotten to where I own almost half the map. I've gotten the races ranked 3-6 to declare war on #2 while I finished off the little guys hoping that #2 would get large and powerful enough to give me a challenge toward the end (I had also been giving them plenty of weapons for cash to fund my massive building of my large shipped fleets and to give them a little helping hand.) I had also noticed that many of the races now had alliances with each other. Some had alliances with a race that I declared war on, too, but they didn't declare war on me. I figured it was because they knew they had no chance against me and chose to preserve themselves a little longer. So I move on to the next race on my list to wipe out on my way to split the galaxy in two when all the remaining races declared war on me together! I wasn't expecting this or prepared for this. Combined, they stand a good chance of knocking me down a few notches before I will hopefully be able to regroup and slaughter their collective butts. }:) Now that I've had dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and have spent some time with the wife. She's going to watch one of her shows before crashing and I'm off to see what mayhem the remaining races can give me! I'm going in!!!

Can someone test out the AI against a human player using Thalan Tech on an gigantic or larger map with abundant planets?

Standard number of AI for given map size.

I tried something like that, but twice I hit the stuck turn bug and was unable to recuperate my game.  I did not have "abundant planet".
And I dislike the AI's omniscience right now.  And also that tendancy of the AI to group its ships around my territory and not attack its real ennemies.  It screws with my plans of a pre-hemptive strike :P No, seriously, even when you're allied with a race it does that, and it's annoying :)


But as soon as they release a 1.3a with some fixes to these bugs, I'm all willing to try.
