Activation broken by windows 10. Can you please fix it?

I have this game installed via the GameStop PC appication. It was broken when I updated to windows 10 from 8.1 Pro. The same situation on a clean install of windows 10 . When I downloaded the game on Gamestop it could not activate it and opened a file editor. This does not sound like it would require major resources to fix it. The funny thing is that Gal Civ II Dread Lords works with no activation issue. I appreciate any help that can be provided on this issue from knowledgeable sources.

We do not support the Gamestop app. We do support you having the game registered with us and then you can download the latest version of it though.

I have a similar problem: the activation program SDActivate.exe hangs and does not allow the game to be activated. I have downloaded latest versions from this website to no avail.

Can anybody help?

I have no problem with GameStop, only with SDActivate.exe, which is a Stardock product. And I got my serial number on Stardock.com, as I wrote.

Would you be so kind to read things before replying?

FYI, I have already placed a ticket and am waiting for a solution.
