Moving icons from desk top to fences

Why can't I move desk top icons to fences? I am using Windows 8.1.

The only way I can do this is by copying or cutting the icons and pasting them into fences.

I'm unsure what Fences version you have. I don't see any registrations on your account. If you're using Fences 1/Pro, it doesn't work very well on Windows 8.
