Designer - Crash When Saving Group As Part [video]

This happens when I try to save Group As Part...

I've tried saving smaller sub-sets as part; made sure all components branch from the central core object (not the starter cube); even rebuilding from scratch, but all to no avail as the game crashes at the same point every time.

The object shown is saved as a ship template.
