I upgraded from 8.06 to 8.1 on March 28. It appeared to upgrade successfully (upgraded Start8 at the same time) and the Setup log looks ok. So, why does About:WindowBlinds show 8.06 as the version? (In contrast, when I look at About:Start8, it shows the new version 1.5).

Was it installed via a standalone installer or via ObjectDesktopManager? Could you send the setup log to support@stardock.com for investigation as it sounds like files have not been replaced correctly.
Regarding the version showing, you will need to uninstall, reboot and then reinstall 8.1 as what you have currently is at best a mixed install version.
Installed via the installer on top of the previous version.

Ugh about having to uninstall and reinstall. Will I lose my theme settings? I rather extensively modified Stardock's Win8 theme in Skin Studio quite awhile ago and then somehow lost it (thought I had saved it). So, I currently just have the Win8 theme as modified (much less modification than in Skin Studio) in Windowblinds itself. Is that going to be saved somewhere when I uninstall so I don't have to do it again?
The thought of having to read Microsoft's crappy font for Windows 8 even for a brief time is daunting. It's very hard to read so I love that Windowblinds lets me choose my Windows font.
I would recommend you backup your skins from the shared documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds folder first then as it could take away your modifications to a skin that is included with the product.
