I use "Creative PlayCenter" - I love Creative Labs hardware

DVD, CD-RW, and the SoundBlaster Live (Which I want to upgrade to the newest version they have), Plus Cambridge Soundwork speakers which are under them also.

Media Jukebox. It's the only thing that can efficiently handle the number of files I've got. Both MusicMatch and WMP9 seem to get really slow and pokey when used with a huge music library.

How huge, Chris? I've got about 22 Gig's of mp3's (Yes, I do own all the 700+ CD's). Winamp seems to handle them nicely...Is Media Jukebox that much better?

I'm in the process of ripping my CD collection (so far about 900 CDs of probably 1500-2000 I've accumulated over the past 16 years)

Media jukebox just seems faster. It uses a standard tree view on the left and list view on the right (and supports all sorts of organzations and custom layout schemas). Navigating through the collection is a snap. Musicmatch and WMP have pauses when I initially try to navigate through them. It also seems to import faster than WMP does. Featurewise I think its comparible to MusicMatch but I think it has a bunch more features.

I have no idea how winamp3 compares but I couldn't imagine using winamp2 since it doesn't have the concept of a library.

Wow...that's a lotta CD's!! I guess I got stuck in the 90's and stopped buying them. I don't know if WA3 does libraries (I just have one huge playlist), but media jukebox sounds like it's worth a try.

MediaJukebox, MusicMatch, WMP, and Winamp3 will maintian a library for you:

Artist1
__Album1
__Album2
Artist2
__Album1
__Album2

based on the mp3/wma file tags

From which you can create playlists. I don't think I could deal with one gigantic playlist for all those CDs

Media Jukebox will send you the shareware version if you send them a skin.

I'm not sure all the shareware version does over the freeware version.

The best quality of sound i have heard is from CoolEdit.
