Bright

Album: Talking Dreams

Year: 2015

Sydney Sierota and her boyfriend watch the stars in the heartwarming            “Bright.”

An enraptured guitar opens thes single, setting an elated tone. He lays the  blanket down on the grass. He sits down, making sure there isn’t any dirt and then offers her his arm. She thinks of their talk earlier in the day. She ended up inviting him to her house for dinner and he met her parents. She can see him becoming a part of her family. She may not get her heart broken ever again. (“I think the universe is on my side/Heaven and earth have finally aligned/Days are good and that's they way it should be/You sprinkle stardust on my pillow case/It's like a moon beam brushed across my face/Nights are good and that's the way it should be.”)

In the pre-chorus, she’s giggly and incredibly happy. She’s met the love of her life. (“You make me sing "oooh, la la la"/You make a girl go "oooh"/I'm in love, love.”)

In the chorus, she points to the sky and asks him if he made a wish. A star just whisked by in the sky. It’s one of the most romantic nights of her life. She’ll remember it always. (“Did you see that shooting star tonight?/Were you dazzled by the same constellation?/Did you and Jupiter conspire to get me?/I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right/Cause now I'm shining bright, so bright.”)

In the short time she’s known him, he’s changed her. She now views life in a much more positive light. He helps her to become a better person. Her life is how exactly she wants it. (“And I see colors in a different way/You make what doesn't matter fade to grey/Life is good and that's the way it should be.”)

The pre-chorus and chorus are sung again.

In the bridge, she nestles close to him and looks deep into his eyes. He gives her a tender smile and she flutters inside. (“And I get lost in your eyes tonight.”)

               The chorus is sung again.

Sierota thought she would never find someone. There was so much pain and hurt, love seemed to be out of reach. Now, though, she can truly enjoy every blissful feeling she has. Sierota manages to fit her entire personal history into the song. It’s as though you can feel the burden being lifted off her shoulders.

The glowing  “Bright” takes in the moment.
