Screen corruption issue (Chrome only?)

I am trialling fence (19 days left) and I like it but there is one annoying glitch making me not want to buy.

I have a fence at the bottom of my side monitor that when I cover it with a chrome window, I get screen corruption in the chrome window.

Example pic - here you can see that it has taken an the out-of-view part of the chrome window above the fence (It is the very bottom of the html page that the chrome window is on, but it is NOT IN VIEW at the moment.) and overlaid it at the bottom of the chrome window.

I have only ever seen it with chrome windows and only ever on my side monitor. The corruption does not always show the bottom of the window, it could be from anywhere in the page.

Another example - what this page looks like with the bug. The corruption exactly matches the edge of the fence.

The bottom left edge of the chrome window is not over the problem fence, but it IS over another fence.

Oh, it is probably worth mentioning that this problem fence is my only folder type fence.

A good test might be to move the location of the fence in question and see if it causes corruption elsewhere.

Cannot get it to happen on main monitor, but no matter where i put it on side monitor, it happens.

Well I fired up my PC today and all my fences were gone.

I open up fences and it indicates no reason as to why it is not working - it still reads "13 days of trial left".

So I tried an uninstall / reinstall.

When trying to do the reinstall, it says newer version is available, do I want to download?

If I click yes, it says it could not write to file, so I am left with no other option to click no.

On reinstall, It now says my trial has expired, when I had 13 days left.

Fences is clearly still partially running, because if I put a shortcut on the desktop, fences removes it and pops up an advert.

To log in and view my ticket seems to require a separate account to the forums.

I cannot be bothered to create a new account unless I am going to have the remainder of my trial re-instated (ie I am not gonna pay to see if you fix this bug), which I doubt is gonna happen.

So unless I get an email from stardock saying something about fixing trial period, consider this ticket closed - I will go elsewhere.

Aaaggh!

Now I cannot uninstall fences!

Stuck in a state where I cannot add anything to the desktop (Fences hides and pops up advert), but I cannot uninstall fences (No dialog comes up when I click fences in Programs and Features).

Well, after being left in limbo by your shoddy ransomware, I was left with no other choice but to crack it.

I am now running a cracked version of Fences as I have NO OTHER CHOICE.

Sort it the hell out Stardock - I don't want your rubbish software any more but I CANNOT UNINSTALL!!!

I responded to your support ticket yesterday and we've not had a response from you.

Were your Fences using Quick-Hide? You are correct, the forums and the help desk website are separate entities. When you respond to your ticket we can help you further.

That said, we do not tolerate pirating.

Chances are your Fences 'disappeared' via the actual function of Fences.  They are designed to - typically by a double click on the desktop.

They return the same way.

However.

With an apparent willingness to use cracked software there is every likelihood that whatever issues you may have with software removal is caused by the use of cracked software [and its acquisition].

Stardock has a zero tolerance towards warez use and does not provide support for users of it.

You can respond to any emails from support, however your access to Stardock's forums has been revoked.
