Object Dock Help

Hey. I just discovered Object Dock last night so I'm still trying to figure everything out.

Some things I'm wondering about:

MULTIPLE Object Docks. Is it possible to have one on the bottom of the screen and one on the top. Or on the bottom and running down the right side?

System Tray. I have a couple meters that I monitor in the system tray. Anyway to get those back? (Zone Alarm, MemTurbo, etc.) Or maybe add them, to an Object dock - If multiple are possible.

PNGs for normal icons. I went to change desktop icons to new, pretty PNGs and Win only allows ICO (from what I can tell). Anyway to do this without buying a prog?

Taskbar functionality. When I had my taskbar I would right click on apps to close them quickly. When you right click on an open app in OD, you get the icon properties. Any fixes?

That's all I can think of. Thanks in advance for the help and I've already made a few icons. They should be up tomorrow (that's what the thing said).

MULTIPLE Object Docks. Don't think so.

PNGs for normal icons. Nope

System Tray. You're going to need another app for the systray. There are systray only apps, (do a google search), Objectbar, DesktopX, can be used for systray only. There are other ways............ for example; I use HoverDesk, so I have a systray.

Oh, and the right click on taskbar icon function .................. just something we have to live without.

Multiple docks used to be possible I think on v.70 on back. But it seems that 'bug' was fixed in v.75.

Systray - you can use another app for a tray, I use DesktopX, but you can have the taskbar on side and put the dock on another side and uncheck that hide the taskbar button.

Kosati got you on the rest.... Good luck!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

As for the systray apps, you guys know which one uses the least resources? I've got a ton of mem resident shtuff and dont want to add too much.

OT, but you have any opinions on SysMetrix? I'm trying it out but I'm undecided.

Thx,

For the tray, using DestopX is very lite! A blank theme with only a tray runs about 3MB for me as opposed to the same thing with Objectbar being about 18MB. Of course the MS taskbar is a good choice too, as with everything it is totally theme dependent. The heavier the theme the more resources it will consume.

Sysmetrix is awesome, no question about it. Like anything though you have to do some tweaking to make it right 'for you'. So play around with it, you'll never be able to live without it!

18MB? My Objectbar is currently using 2,944k. Trayserver is using 1,628k. This is with the Siderado Objectbar I made. Wonder what the difference is...

I tried SysMetrix and could never get it to recognize that I had an email. I went into the properties and AFAIK, I had it configured correctly. Could there be some trick I'm missing?
